Take note that caffeine can improve the breathing function among those with asthma for up to 4 hours.
  • Being seated upright – maintaining a good posture can help open the air passageways, thus allowing the individual to breathe efficiently.
  • Eucalyptus essential oil – inhaling the vapor can help individuals with breathing conditions including bronchitis or asthma.
  • Mustard oil – this is ideal for immediate relief from asthma by opening the air passageways and improving lung function.
  • Slow, deep breaths – even though this can be challenging during an asthma attack, it provides several benefits such as preventing hyperventilation and helps the individual stay calm.
