CPR level “A” Courses
Saskatoon First Aid offers CPR level “A” and automated external defibrillator (AED) courses. This training is the most basic stand-alone CPR and AED training provided through the Red Cross. This course is designed for candidates that want or need just a basic understanding of CPR rescues on adult and child victims. No first aid certification is included in this course. Course meets government and legislative standards for Saskatchewan.
Course Length:
This stand-alone CPR level “A” and AED course is approximately 3 to 4 hours in length.
Course Cost:
The cost of this CPR course is 50 dollars. Course fee includes taxes, Red Cross certification fee’s and CPR manual.
Course Content:
Candidates in this course will learn about the following CPR emergencies:
- CPR for adults for adult and child victims
- Conscious and unconscious obstructed airway adult and child victims (choking)
- Respiratory emergencies including asthma, hyperventilation, aspiration and anaphylaxis
- Circulatory emergencies (includes heart attacks, angina, transient ischemic attacks and strokes)
- Automated external defibrillator (AED) training.
Red Cross Certification:
Candidates that successfully complete the course will receive a Red Cross CPR level “A” and AED certificate. This certificate is valid for 3 years and is nationally accredited and valid throughout Canada. This certificate meets Saskatchewan government legislative standards.
Registration:
To register for a CPR level “A” course candidates can choose the course from the selection below. Candidates can choose by location, date and time. Fill out the registration form and prepay to guarantee yourself a spot in the course. Candidates have the option of paying by credit card, debit card or PayPal through our secure registration system. No Pressure:
At Saskatoon First Aid we have a “no pressure” policy. If you do not complete the course the first time you can re-take the course at no extra cost.
Locations:
We have comfortable and convenient locations for CPR “A” courses throughout Saskatoon.
Private Training:

Refunds or Cancellations:
Saskatoon First Aid does not accept refunds or cancellations for its CPR level “A” courses within 72 hours of the course. Prior to 72 hours candidates can receive a full refund.
