Saskatoon First Aid proudly offers workplace approved standard child care first aid and CPR training. This course is offered exclusively through workplace approved providers. This course is designed for child care, child-minding, daycare and kindergarten workers. This child care course is very similar in course content to that of standard first aid courses. Included in this course is automated external defibrillator (AED) training and CPR level “B”. Certification in this course meets workplace standard for childcare / daycare employees and is valid for 3 years. Course Length:
The length of this course is 18 hours.
Course Cost:
The cost of this course is — dollars. Course fee includes taxes, workplace approved certification fee’s and first aid and CPR manual.
Course Content:
Candidates in this course will learn about the following first aid and CPR emergencies:
- CPR for adults for adult and child victims
- Conscious and unconscious obstructed victims (choking)
- Respiratory emergencies including asthma, hyperventilation, aspiration and anaphylaxis
- Circulatory emergencies (includes heart attacks, angina, transient ischemic attacks and strokes)
- Deadly bleeding
- Sprains and Strains
- Sudden medical emergencies
- Environmental emergencies
- Shaking baby syndrome
- Head and neck injuries
- Broken bones and fractures
- Child Birth
- Automated external defibrillator (AED) training.
Certification:
Candidates that successfully complete the course will receive a workplace approved standard child care first aid, CPR level “B” and AED certificate that is valid for 3 years. This certificate is nationally accredited and valid throughout Canada. Re-certification courses are not available for this certificate.

To register for a standard child care first aid and CPR level “B” course candidates can choose the course from the selection below. Candidates can choose by location, date and time. Fill out the registration form and prepay to guarantee yourself a spot in the course. Candidates have the option of paying by credit card, debit card or PayPal through our secure registration system. CPR Options:
Candidates can not opt for any other level of CPR training. CPR level “B” is the only option for candidates in workplace approved child care standard first aid courses.
No Pressure:
At Saskatoon First Aid we have a “no pressure” policy. If you do not complete the course the first time you can re-take the course at no extra cost.

Refunds or Cancellations:
Saskatoon First Aid does not accept refunds or cancellations within 72 hours of the course. Prior to 72 hours candidates can receive a full refund.
