Calgary city council starts discussions on face mask policies

Fact Checked

The Calgary city council started discussions on a bylaw that would mandate the use of face masks or coverings on transit and possibly extend to some indoor spaces amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

If passed, it will mandate face masks or coverings on all transit vehicles starting August as well as develop a data-driven policy regarding face coverings in all indoor city-owned or operated properties.
