A child involved in a drowning ordeal receives CPR

A 10-year old died despite CPR after a near-drowning incident. The incident occurred in a private lake in the Lanaudiere region. According to the provincial police, they received a call about an unconscious child in a body of water.

Drowning ordeal

The boy was quickly moved out of the water and the emergency services arrived and delivered CPR.

The child was transported to a local healthcare facility and was scheduled to be transferred to a Montreal hospital but he died before that happened. The police are investigating but stated that they do not believe that there is a criminal element involved in the near-drowning incident.
