A man who sustains gunshot wounds downtown passed away despite delivery of CPR

A victim of a shooting at Edmonton downtown died despite delivery of CPR. According to police, a 36-year old man was shot at a commercial business near 97th Street and 105A Avenue.

Officers were seen entering the Aftermath Autohaus and the business next door, Carproof Auto Repair. The alley beside the building was also sealed off while the officers searched for evidence. There was blood on the driveway of Aftermath Autohaus along with a jacket and a fanny pack. People were outside the business smoking a cigarette when the shooting occurred.

Immediate delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can save a life.

According to one witness who lives nearby, he saw 2 ambulances arrive and paramedics performing CPR on the victim before he was transported to a healthcare facility.
