Teenagers in critical condition after house fire despite CPR. The residents of Edmonton’s Lago Lindo neighborhood were devastated after a cooking fire tore through a house and hospitalized 3 people.

Dangerous blaze

The fire broke out in the kitchen of the single-family house. The fire was due to overheated cooking oil that was left unattended for a few minutes. The fire was contained to the kitchen and under control 20 minutes later.

The firefighters performed CPR on 2 teenagers who were pulled from the second floor of the north Edmonton home who was suffering from smoke inhalation. One of the teenagers was in critical condition. A young adult believed to be between 17-20 years old was also listed under critical condition.
