Good Samaritan and off-duty health workers work together to save a life

Working together in delivering life-saving measures can greatly improve the outcome during emergencies. When a life is in danger, the timely delivery of life-saving measures and working together can save a life. A team of health workers and a Good Samaritan worked together to save a man. The 3 performed CPR and utilized an AED to keep a 62-year-old man alive. According to Lisa Wass, she does not know the identity of a Good Samaritan who helped save her father’s life.

Saving a life

A man who was loading groceries into his car went into cardiac arrest. According to the daughter, his father collapsed and he could not recall anything but felt that something was wrong.

When the man collapsed, two off-duty health workers were able to start CPR while another person retrieved an AED. It can be considered as a stroke of luck since the health workers were around when the man collapsed.

The presence of the AED saved the man’s life. Upon the arrival of the EMS at the scene, they took over in delivering life-saving measures. The man gained consciousness and was already alert before he was transported to a hospital via an ambulance.

There was no available AED in Walmart. The person ran to a nearby store Cabela’s and found an AED there. It was the AED that saved his life.

The man was grateful for those who saved his life. The incident clearly shows the importance of prompt delivery of life-saving measures. The quick delivery of CPR and using an AED were crucial in improving the chances of survival for the man.
